Elaine Petrowski, PCD, of Ridgewood, NJ -based Tender Times Postpartum Support is a former teacher, freelance writer and author who completed her Birth Works training as a postpartum doula through Seventh Moon Perinatal Support Services in October, 2000 and DONA through Valley Home Care in September, 2006. Elaine earned PCD certification as a postpartum doula from DONA (Doulas of North America) in June 2007. In addition to training and certifying as a postpartum doula, Elaine has trained with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) as a Certified Lactation Educator, (CLE in progress) and with the Holistic Healing Center as an infant massage instructor. Elaine is the mother of two and the grandmother of two. She and her husband have lived and worked in Bergen since 1973.
