Infant massage

Learn the benefits and how-to of infant massage. Massaging your baby is not only fun for you, but also relaxing and soothing for your baby. Massage is said to increase bonding between baby and caregiver and improve your ability to read your baby’s cues. Call to arrange a group or private lesson in your home. Or attend periodic three-session group lessons held at Family Wellness Center in Ho-Ho-Kus. Call 201-652-4662 for schedule and details.

Meet Other Moms (MOM)

I invite you and your baby (and any well-behaved older siblings) to join me for six once-per-week sessions. Meet other new moms in a casual, baby-friendly, supportive environment. We discuss topics of interest to mothers of young children such as Getting Dad More Involved; Getting Back into Shape; Vaccinations; Safe Cleaning; Fast Nutritious Meals; Baby Sign Language. We gather at Family Wellness Center in Ho-Ho-Kus. Fee is $120 for the six-week session held Thursday mornings from 10:45-11:45. Call 201-652-4662 for schedule and details.

Doula Support

Doula: "One who mothers the mother"

Some mothers have likened  my services to a "walking instruction book".  The one the hospital forgets to send home with your new bundle of joy.

I have  a wealth of information, resources, energy and personal experience. I look forward to helping you and your new baby.  I can help alleviate the stress of those first few weeks following the birth with:
Breastfeeding support
Guidance with newborn care
Advice on prioritizing key tasks
Provide up to date local resource list
Grocery shopping & errands
Light meal preparation
General straightening up
Phone call and visitor screening
Fine tune nursery organization to best meet your needs

Baby Blitz

I offer a “Baby Blitz” program. This service consists of a one-time home visit (four to five hours duration) during your baby’s first week home. At this visit, we will work together to build your newborn care skills, such as feeding, diapering, dressing and soothing. I’ll answer your questions about sleep, what are normal noises and feeding patterns, etc. I will also provide you with a list of important local and national resources. This option also entitles you to up to three thirty-minute phone consultations over the first month of your baby’s life. The all-inclusive fee for this service is $200.
